love this Alice + Olivia look too.
this bright Milly ensemble is right up my alley as well!

It's terribly cliche, but I am as in love as the next blogger with smitten kitchen.

ToRY BuRCH PRe-FaLL 2011
Loved Habitually Chic's pics of Tory Burch's Pre-Fall 2011 presentation. This look immediately caught my eye-
Paisley + stripes, who would've thought? I love wearing prints together (Tory is the master!), so here's my take:
I am not a paisley girl. There, I said it. The pattern drives me nuts. So I went with floral instead & paired it with a wide stripe cardigan.
the trick is to match the colors, & have one low-key print with a bolder print. I think two different prints work well (not floral & floral- that's tricky!).
& because it's me, I have to belt it- something skinny & gold will do the trick!

PeP(LuM) iN My STeP
I heart PePLuM. The little ruffles around the waist are just too stylin'.
This look reignited my interest in this flirty, retro style.
Here's something a little less dramatic to help you get your feet wet- love the waist detail on this skirt!
Love this Shabby Apple version- a little drama never hurt! Would be super cute with some high heeled mary janes.
Here's a few tips:
Here's a few tips:
- Try a thin belt around your natural waist if so many ruffles at your hips make you nervous. :)
- Stay with solids for this trend- it'll be plenty busy without a pattern!
- Keep jewelry & other accessories simple & classic-- the ruffles are all you need!
- Make sure the fit is perfect- this should be an always thing, but it's especially important when you've got some extra layers of fabric ruffling around you!

Never thought I'd be loving long skirts again, but that's what fashion does to ya. What goes around comes around & I am loving this combo:
